Welcome to Things People Keep. Our name is our mission, to provide quality gifts that people want to keep for years to come.

Keepability requires a quality piece with detailed craftsmanship, hand etched by sandblasting for a crysp, deep cut into the glass, carefully inspected, well packed for shipping, and 100% guaranteed.

We are a family owned and operated company. We are small enough to give attention to every order to ensure quality and large enough to provide fast turn-around and good pricing.

Our History

Jim Bland, company founder & president, started Things People Keep as an online store. Like most stores, products were purchased at wholesale from vendors and sold to customers around the world. It became a great way to supplement income for his family.

Over time, the reputation for a nice selection of quality imported crystal grew . . . as would Jim's family. A father of 2, Jim was told that he and his wife, Christine, would soon have an addition to the family and early on in the pregnancy, these middle-aged parents were told they were expecting twins!

Just five weeks after the birth of identical twin boys Jim was laid off from his full time job. With a poor economy, increased costs due to the births, no job, and a lot of ambition, Jim decided it was time to expand the business.

With a significant personal investment, Jim & Chris evolved Things People Keep to become a wholesale supplier of sandcarved glass and crystal products.

Things People Keep quickly grew and became a supplier to other retail stores, companies, nonprofit organizations, and even individuals. The story of this stay-at-home father of four turned stay-at-home business owner captured the media's attention and was featured on local NBC affiliate WGAL and as featured business in Lancaster Sunday News and Hempfield Suburban News.

Things People Keep expanded to surpass 100 wholesale customers within the first two years. Wholesale customers drew from 27 states, Washington DC, and even into Canada. They include name you know including the US Capitol and Grants Tomb.

At the request of customers, Things People Keep expanded to include custom packaging options - customer logo boxes, gift wrapping, and custom gift set boxing. Later, strong vendor supplies would lead to the ability to offer supplies for gift basket companies as well as custom crafted products from India, Poland, China and Mexico.

Today, Things People Keep continues to leverage strong relations with vendors to obtain an excellent variety of products at all price levels. The company prides itself on sandcarving products on premise to enable direct oversight of quality and low cost personalization and even custom designs.

Custom Designs

We enjoy working with customers to put custom designs onto our products. We require artwork that is in black and white (not grayscale) with sharp contrast for best results.

Our set up fee include consultation, review of artwork, electronic proofing with revisions, and delivery of a finished sample for your review. Call for details.

Shipping Information

Allow 1-3 weeks for delivery. Standard shipping via UPS. Allow additional time for shipments west of the Mississippi River. Allow an additional week for special orders and personalization

Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:

Refunds and return merchandise require a return authorization. Call or email to obtain authorization number. We want your 100% satisfaction.

Custom items require customers to approve artwork prior to production. Orders can be cancelled prior to artwork approval. Custom items that match approved artwork are not returnable unless broken in transit. RA required.
